About me

I have been an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) since 1993.  For 23 years I had a franchise agreement with Excel and have become independent in June 2016.  I believe that confidence is built on positive experience and therefore I aim to make every lesson enjoyable and allow you to progress at your own pace.

I take pride in my professional development.  Some of my qualifications include City & Guilds 730 Teaching Certificate, RoSPA and Institute of Advanced Motorist Advanced Driving Tests, Cardington Special Test and the Diploma in Advanced Driving Instruction.

As an Approved Driving Instructor I undergo regular checks by the Driving Standards Agency and am CRB checked.

I am a member of the DIA (Driving Instructors Association)
I am also a member of ASDI (Association of Southern Driving Instructors)

What some of my pupils said

"Thank you so much for teaching me to drive. I've learned so much, not only have I gained a new skill but also freedom and more confidence in myself. Its all thanks to your great teaching, lovely personality and patience of a saint!

Comments from her 'thank you' card

"Sue is really friendly and puts you at ease when driving.  I previously had four other instructors which I could not get the grasp with. However then I met Sue and she was a god sent extremely friendly and calm whilst driving.

I would highly recommend learning to drive with Sue.  Passed my test first time.  Thanks again Sue  xx"
